By mixing it with water or black tea, you will create the henna paste which you can then apply onto hair, which has been done for centuries to strengthen hair. Plain yogurt and aloe vera has also been added into henna paste for conditioning qualities.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlease note: hair which has been dyed synthetically before, may not take the color of natural henna very well; it works best on virgin hair. Henna will dye blonde hair into a burnt orange red color which will get darker with several applications. Henna will dye light brown hair into an auburn color, and for black hair it will give it a reddish hue. It is good practice to condition the hair with unrefined or natural oils after rinsing, as many applications of natural henna will start giving hair a thick rough texture if you have not conditioned properly. You can re-spray as many times as you would like after each 20 mins (although you do not need more than 2 applications).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAfter a design has dried completely (but before it is beginning to flake off) which is about 30-40 mins after application (or 30-40 mins after spraying it last), you can cut the mefix tape into smaller pieces to stick onto your skin. Cover your design completely before crazy activities or before going to bed with a design on. After 8 hours you are free to peel the mefix tape off and watch as most of the paste comes off too. Through my trial and error phase of rolling henna cones, I've discovered that this size is the perfect size whether you'd like to roll your henna cones short and wide, or tall and narrow. The cones you can make out of them can hold anywhere from 20-35g depending on your paste and how you roll the cello. The sheets are 1mil thick, which I find to be durable enough for my henna cones, but thin enough to roll, shape, and fold. The mint green color varies slightly from season to season but the quality is the same.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou also have the option of choosing whether or not you would like the appropriate number of pins with the cello sheets. I have pins that are 0.6mm, 0.5mm, and 0.4mm as the current options. The larger the pin number, the large the opening of your cone and the thicker the lines of the tattoo designs. I use 0.6mm cones for large thigh\/back henna pieces, but 0.4mm for jagua gel cones or sometimes small intricate bridal mehndi. The 0.5mm are my favorite for any occasion though.
